Car crashes into petrol station shop
A SOUTHAMPTON petrol station was forced to temporarily close last night after a car crashed into the doors of the garage shop.
The vehicle had rolled into the entrance of the Tesco Express store in Lodge Road, Portswood, after the driver had left the car without a handbrake on.
Customers had to wait outside for up to 20 minutes while staff cleaned up the shop after the collision left dozens of shelves stacked with sweets and chocolate bars all over the floor of the entrance.
No one was hurt in the incident at around 6pm, which caused minor damage to the shop doors.

SENSATIONAL HEADLINE,which one might expect to lead into a big story. Major damage, maybe a petrol explosion.
But no.
A car rolls into a shop, minor damage, a few sweets to fall onto the floor and shop closed for up to 20 minutes.

True story:
Petite woman wearing miniskirt and high heels goes to hire a 7.5 tonne truck. Expresses indignation at the "are you sure, love?" comments from hire firm. Totters off down the road in said truck. Pulls into filling station to fill up and takes out 2 petrol pumps
