I presume from this story that the bus was empty of passengers at the time of the accident as there would have been ample witnessess then.
Wonder if the bus pulled out in front of the motorist?

Sounds like she was a pedestrian.

Made me think she was a motorist and police are asking for witnessess of the crash not accident/incident.

The bus probably swerved in like they usually do when stopping to let people on and off. I've nearly had my head taken off by the wing mirror before (whilst clearly standing on the pavement)...you sometimes wonder if the drivers have eyes in their head.

There was no other vehicle involved.
I went to the Co-op last night just as the incident had happened.. before the ambulance crew were on the scene. The smash in the buses window was so dense that I'm suprised the woman has survived. When I was in the Co-op, the workers seemed to think she had been in there moments before asking if she had enough money to buy whatever it is she had, and said "she didn't really seem 'with-it'". That is of course if they are correct in assuming this is the same individual. My thoughts are with this lady and the bus driver as the scene at the time sure looked frightening and life-threatening. It is constructive, try giving your name. I think you'll find that I'm not small minded, how do you know this person has a family? if she does then they do not need her getting drunk and walking in front of buses. they're not rumours, the source was direct. Why did you even come to this page if you didn't want to know about the incident? without people like me giving facts then you would have no page to read. PRAT!

Ok point taken about that part was a silly moment... I was just wondering how potential passangers would feel possibly being traumatised. But also that people are quick to jump to sympathy with the person that came off worse psysically. Im just thinking that the bus drivers life could have been ruined entirely, he was really shaken and in tears because of this.

A little sensitivity wouldn't go amiss mate.[/quote] Well I would think it constructive for bus passengers who have paid to recieve a service to get a refund.
If a plane, train or car crashes all passengers are quick enough to claim thousands of pounds of compensation!!
Indeed if you were to pick up a loaf of bread in the que at the said co-op and then standing in the que someone jumped on it would you buy it or go and get another one? Quite right the passengers should be entitled to a refund.
Well done Elliott for facts and pics, and may I last but not least wish the lady a sppedy recovery.

Sam.. are you delirious..?
If you want a forum on refunds or customer service, you're clearly on the wrong one.
